Yggdrasil wood is a different type of wood used in late game building and crafting recipes. It is obtained exclusively from the Mistlands biome.

- Acquired by chopping Yggdrasil shoots in the Mistlands.
- Requires Black metal axe or better to acquire.
- Can also be found in small amounts from destroying certain structures in the Mistlands.

- Presumably, both Yggdrasil shoots and Ancient Roots have been severed from the trunk of the Great Tree that players can see in the sky of Valheim.
