Tankards are items used to consume mead from within an inventory. Mead can, however, be consumed without the use of a tankard.

- The description "Skål!" is Swedish, Norwegian and Danish for "toast!", or "cheers!"
- The Horn of Celebration is a special tankard marking the one-year anniversary of the release of Valheim.
- The Dvergr tankard is a rare tankard variant which can only be found in the Mistlands.
- If there is no mead in the player's inventory and they attempt to use the Tankard, a message will display, "You are out of mead" even though the model of the Tankard shows liquid inside.
