Scourging Slayer is the upgraded form of Slayer using the Iolite. Like all upgraded-weapons that use Iolite, their hit effect has a 25% to apply Chain Lighitning.

An upgraded Slayer will NOT keep its upgrade level when it is modified using gemstones

• The attacks are fairly vertical & wide reaching on the primary attacks with the third attack in the combo being more narrow in the horizonal range.
• The secondary attack is a long reaching thrust that is capable of outreaching most enemies with very excellent damage.

Total cost for the fully upgraded sword is 1 Slayer, 105 Flametal and 6 Iolites. However, it is only 30 flametal and 1 Iolite for level 2, which is the highest upgrade currently obtainable as of patch 218.15.
