Mead refers to items which can be consumed for temporary health and stamina boosts as well as preventing harmful status effects. Mead must first be crafted into a Mead base at a cauldron and then fermented using a fermenter.

Dehydration is not possible, but mead is helpful when faced with inescapable effects which can eventually result in death. Before acquiring the Wolf fur or Lox cape, consuming a Frost resistance mead is essential to progressing in the Mountains. Mead can be consumed with or without a tankard or a Horn of Celebration.
