The Dyrnwyn is the seventh sword.
Its primary attack is a 3 hit attack combo with double damage on the last hit. Its slower secondary attack deals 3x damage.
Dyrnwyn fragments[]
The recipe to craft the Dyrnwyn requires three unique fragments. Each fragment can be found on their specific location:
- The position of the first location is indicated by a Vegvisir situated inside 25% of Putrid Holes. It consists of a small Grausten ruins with 4 Molten cores and the sword fragment on an altar in the middle. The location is guarded by a Monument of Torment (Elite) spawning only 2 stars Charred.
- The position of the second location is indicated by a Vegvisir situated at the first location. It has a similar structure to the first location.
- The position of the third location is indicated by a Vegvisir situated at the second location. It consists of a small Grausten ruins with 4 Molten cores and a dungeon entrance to the Tomb of Lord Reto. The dungeon is a small room with Lord Reto inside, it drops the last sword fragment upon death.

The three location are referenced as Mysterious Location on the map. Each fragment weighs 0.5 and doesn't stack. These fragments are not renewable. If you have increased drop rate of items more than one can be crafted if you got the fragments x2 or more. Otherwise only one can be crafted.

Tips[]
- Weapons that do spirit damage such as the Mistwalker or Silver Sword may be more effective at dealing with some Ashlands enemies such as the Charred Warrior due to the damage bonus against undead enemies.

- The Dyrnwyn, meaning "white-hilt" was a powerful sword that was part of the Thirteen Treasures of the Island of Britain, a series of items from late medieval (15th-16th century) Welsh tradition. It was said to have been owned by Rhydderch Hael, one of the Three Generous Men of Britain mentioned in the Welsh Triads. When drawn by a worthy or well-born man, the entire blade would blaze with fire. Rhydderch was never reluctant to hand the weapon to anyone, hence his nickname Hael, meaning "the Generous", but the recipients, as soon as they had learned of its peculiar properties, always rejected the sword.
- While being an Ashlands-tier weapon, it existed and was obtainable before the Ashlands update using console commands. Its previous ID was
SwordIronFire, it dealt 55 slash and 30 fire damage, had 200 durability and used 14 stamina.- Despite it being uncraftable before the Ashlands update, it used to have a recipe as well as upgrades up to quality 4 defined internally. Each upgrade added 5 slash and 6 fire damage, and 50 points of durability.
