Copper ore is an item found in Valheim.
It can be mined from Copper deposits which can be found in Black Forest biomes using any Pickaxe. Such deposits have subtle bronze-colored streaks that reflect the sunlight. It is the only visual feature that distinguishes them from typical stone boulders.
They often extend down into the ground, so digging deep underneath the surface deposit is recommended for full yields. As you dig, the copper chunks can be rather small and spread around below the original surface area of the deposit, but there will be quite a bit more to find. Best way to find it all is to strip mine and accumulate considerable stone in the process as a bonus.
- A way of farming Copper, or any ore deposit, is to dig the earth all around the deposit until it crumbles on itself into Copper ores. At this time, it is unknown if this is more efficient than mining normally.
- Like other metals, Copper ore cannot be teleported.
- The attacks of a Troll, despite being harmless to normal terrain, cause immense damage to copper ore. If the player has no pickaxe or simply yearns for a change from their usual monotonous mining method, a troll can make for a great alternative.
