Basalt bombs can be used to create small platforms when thrown into lava, its main purpose is to reach Flametal ore veins.

The basalt platform created will float in or above the lava for 30 seconds before beginning to sink into the lava at a slow rate.

Availability

• Crafted with the workbench
• Asksvin hides and Asksvin bladders are dropped from Asksvin in the Ashlands.
• Proustite powder is dropped from Lava Blobs and Unstable lava rocks in the Ashlands.

Tips

• Once the deposit (usually a Lavaiathan) is reached, the Flametal ore can then be mined until it is all collected or the deposit sinks down into the lava, similar to a leviathan in the Ocean.
